I've loved washi tape since I first discovered it on American craft blogs in 2009, and loved being one of the first washi tape UK stockists. I found some gift wrapping ideas from the Papermash archives and thought it would be fun to re-share. The top images is one of my favourite washi tape ideas ever! I've always loved collecting old books and ephemera and I was pretty pleased with this image using a band of white watercolour paper. A few other ideas include adding washi tape bows and bunting to brown paper, and making a letter or number (you need a letter with straight lines!)
For the washi tape letters, I find it easiest to cut out and line it up on a cutting mat with a scalpel, and then carefully transfer it to the parcel. You can see another version I made with black washi tapehere.
Most of the above designs are discontinued, but you can find similar colours and patterns here.
